Job Overview:
The Crisis professional will work in conjunction with behavioral health team to provide emergency psychiatric evaluations and dispositions to patients in crisis in the Emergency Department
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's Degree and 1 year experience in psychiatric setting post masters
Master s program, 2 years post bachelors in psych, one year being in a crisis setting
Bachelor s degree, 3 years post bachelors in psych, one year being in a crisis setting
Scheduling Requirements:
This is a per diem position
Essential Functions:
Patient Care:
Serves as an advocate for clients by facilitating connection with personal support systems and follow up mental health services.
Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific treatment and care.
Once contacted, arrives in the Emergency Department within 30 minutes.
Participates in QA/QI activities.
