The title and pay rate (minimum rate for Associate is $20.52, Clinician I is $23.61, Clinician II is $24.78) for these positions may vary depending on education level and years of experience._** _This position is eligible for the_ **_Behavioral Health Fellows Program_** _- an initiative sponsored by Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) in partnership with Community Care Behavioral Health and Jewish Healthcare Foundation. Designed to strengthen the County’s public behavioral health system, this program offers incredible benefits, including up to $45,000 in educational loan repayment (based on your degree level), or free access to an accredited professional certificate program, as well as paid time off for training and professional development as a part of a cohort group._ **_Crisis Clinicians are Sign on Bonus eligible!_** **_$3,500 with a 2 year commitment_** **_$5,000 with a 3 year commitment_** **Responsibilities:** + Complete Crisis Clinician orientation and training. + Manage shift caseloads under supervision. + Develop skills in assessment, de-escalation, documentation, and motivational interviewing. + Use Electronic Medical Records for information and documentation. + Provide person-centered, strength-based counseling to promote stability. + Work independently and efficiently in crisis settings. + Coordinate referrals and collaborate on disposition planning. + Advocate for appropriate program admissions (Crisis Residential, Walk-In). + Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments and respond to support calls. + Handle crisis situations using positive, effective strategies. + Meet documentation standards and complete required paperwork. + Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and case reviews. + Support therapeutic milieu and ensure safety. **Crisis Clinician Associate:** + Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work. **_Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience_** + Consistent ability to respond calmly and effectively, using good clinical judgment to both psychiatric and medical emergencies. + Recovery-oriented interpersonal relations. + Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and to assume on call responsibilities. **Crisis Clinician I:** + Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with one (1) year mental health direct care experience. **OR** + Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work and no experience. **_Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience_** + Includes phone triaging, as well as an in-depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments. + Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in-home therapy preferred. + Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations. + Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and to assume on call responsibilities. **Crisis Clinician II:** + Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with two (2) years mental health direct care experience with one (1) year crisis experience. **OR** + Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work with one (1) year mental health direct care experience. **_Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience_** + Work history that includes phone triage, as well as an in-depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments. + Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in-home therapy preferred. + Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations + Licensure in social work or professional counseling is preferred. + Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and to assume on call responsibilities. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal OAPSA **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
