Crew Planning & SchedulingPOSITION PURPOSE
Compiles, selects, correlates and analyzes current flight schedule to provide safe, dependable, efficient and legal crew coverage for all flight segments to be flown each month. Oversees multiple runs and works with union committees on selecting pairing runs to cover each month’s operation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least three years related experience. Knowledge of airline operations and federal regulations.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Strong organization and statistical skills needed to extract, organize, analyze and report findings from complex datasets.Must be able to work with minimal supervision.Confidentiality and excellent attention to detail and strong time management and prioritization skillsMust be able to work extra hours when necessaryAbility to work with all levels of management and labor representatives.Demonstrate effective communication skillsPREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in related field.Computer programming skills are a plusFour years of previous planning experience, or a combination of education and experience. Familiarity with Crew Optimization software (such as Jeppesen, S3RUS, Cygnus). Knowledge of Sabre CrewTrac and Sabre FLICA preferred. Strong background in analysis of crew schedule solutions with the ability to provide strategic recommendations to managementLANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form.
