About the job:
Work for the Global Markets Trading Manager in defining the Investment Grade Credit Financial Bonds trading strategy in the region under his/ her responsibility, focusing on meeting internal and external customers’ needs and complying with the risk and regulatory requirements:
Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenue targets that are set each year.
Follow up on all ongoing trading activity, helping in solving problems and bottlenecks as needed.
Support the bonds desk in their market-making activity, quoting the most relevant transactions, as required. Manage the approval for operations that exceed given risk limits. Focus on promoting excellence in the service offered to the clients
Hedge the interest rate risk as needed, ensuring that the risk exposure is balanced that there is no overexposure to a certain underlying term, currency, etc.
Be aligned with other Global Markets desks and internal areas. Foster the collaboration with the Sales desks to set commercial targets in order to mainstream the market knowledge and create synergies in the operations’ profitability and risk management.
Assist Finance CIB and Regulation CIB with views on industry topics that affect the Bank’s business.
Track the bonds flow trading book and activity, monitoring main trading indicators such as P&L and hit/ miss ratio. Assist in solving problems and incidents, as required.
Lead a key role in promoting the bank's positioning within the specific bond business, meeting external customers and encouraging the innovation and efficiency within the team and stakeholders, with the objective to add value to the customers.
Focus on the analysis of the impact and implications of the markets’ regulatory reforms in the trading tools, valuation models and operating processes
Ensure that desks activity complies with both internal and external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Introduce the specific bonds activity to both internal and external clients.
Report to the desk head about main performance indicators
