To be successful as a Credit Risk Specialist, you should have experience with:
Personal attributes essential to performing role including capabilities, knowledge, and experience
Experience in primarily Run the Bank roles in financial institutions, consulting or technology companies or Programme management roles in other industries
Technical experience with high proficiency in UNIX, SQL, ITIL
Experience with ITIL concepts and best practices. Experience of using configuration management tools and reporting. (preferred Service Management Tool - Service First / SNOW)
Experience in batch monitoring tools (preferably - Autosys)
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Windows experience
Unix, database technologies primarily in Investment Banking domain. (Exposure to Risk business area will be preferred)
Knowledge of Investment Bank and IB risk functional knowledge
Excellent communication (verbal and written) suitable for a diverse audience, with the ability to communicate in a positive, friendly and effective manner with ‘technical’ or ‘non-technical’ users/ customers

Purpose of the role
To safeguard the financial health of the bank by identifying, analysing, and mitigating potential credit risks associated with lending activities.
Accountabilities
Analysis of financial data, including income, assets, liabilities, credit history, and economic trends, to determine the risk of default.Monitoring of existing loan portfolios to identify potential credit deterioration or early warning signs of default.Recommendation of loan approvals, rejections, or adjustments based on risk evaluation and bank lending policies.Development and implementation of credit risk mitigation strategies, including collateral management, loan restructuring, and workout plans.Assistant Vice President Expectations
Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.Communicate complex information.
