Job Description

We are looking for a highly driven Credit Risk Policy Manager to take full ownership of the credit policy framework across the user lifecycle, from acquisition to collection, for our lending business. This person will drive the design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of credit risk strategies, working closely with stakeholders from data science, product, engineering, and growth to ensure the policies strike the right balance between risk management and business growth

Key Responsibilities

Design and own end-to-end credit policies, including acquisition criteria, credit limit assignment, pricing strategy, and account management guidelines.

Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, engineering, data science, growth) to ensure policies are embedded in product flows and operational processes.

Translate policy direction into executable rules and collaborate with modelers and analysts to develop or update scorecards, segmentation, and cutoffs.

Monitor the impact of credit policies on key metrics such as approval rate, bad rate, NPL, recovery, and portfolio yield; propose timely improvements as needed.

Evaluate and challenge new initiatives or product launches from a risk policy perspective; clearly communicate risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

Act as the key contact point for policy-related discussions during audits, regulatory reviews, and internal governance forums.

Lead or support policy experimentation (A/B tests) and implement changes based on results and business priorities.

Document all policy changes, rationales, and approvals in a structured and auditable format.

Requirements

4–7 years of experience in credit risk management, ideally from fintech, digital lending, BNPL.Proven experience in owning or designing credit policies (application, behavior, or collections policies).Strong understanding of lending economics and credit lifecycle (approval, limit, pricing, delinquency, recovery).Familiarity with credit risk modelling concepts and ability to work with modelers and data teams effectively.Strong business acumen, able to balance risk and growth, communicate tradeoffs, and influence decisions.Proficient in SQL and familiar with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, Tableau, Excel).Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts for non-risk audiences.Self-driven, structured, and outcome-oriented; capable of driving initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment.
