About the Role:
The Financial Operations Account Receivable team seeks a dynamic Business Analyst to join our Credit Risk Strategy and Operations team within our Global Accounts Receivable Operations. As a critical member of Amazon's second line of defense, you'll play a pivotal role in analyzing and mitigating financial risks across all Amazon channels. You'll work with complex data sets to identify risk patterns, develop analytical frameworks, and drive insights that enhance our collection strategies and credit management programs.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact Amazon's global financial operations by leveraging data-driven approaches to identify and manage risk at scale. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robust analytical solutions, working closely with third-party credit bureaus and internal stakeholders to optimize our credit assessment models and collection procedures.

What You'll Do:
• Lead analytical initiatives to optimize Accounts Receivable processes and identify operational improvements
• Develop and deliver comprehensive business review presentations and reports for senior leadership
• Support financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from multiple sources
• Drive process improvements through data analysis and stakeholder engagement
Key job responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Lead analytical initiatives to optimize Accounts Receivable processes and identify operational improvements
• Develop and deliver comprehensive business review presentations and reports for senior leadership
• Support financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from multiple sources
• Drive process improvements through data analysis and stakeholder engagement
A day in the life
• Produce and distribute scheduled and ad hoc reports for leadership decision-making
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities
• Analyze Accounts Receivable data to identify optimization opportunities
• Prepare business review documents for leadership presentations
• Coordinate information collection from internal and external sources
• Develop comprehensive understanding of Amazon's business channels, revenue, and receivables cycle
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 3+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Ability to work on multiple projects or requests simultaneously
