Credit Products Client Enterprise Valuation Associate

Job Description:

At Regions, the Credit Products Enterprise Valuation Group (the “EV Group”) is an independent team within Commercial Credit Risk Management that develops an enterprise value primarily for borrowers that are designated leveraged lending relationships. The Credit Products Client Enterprise Valuation Associate II supports Specialized Industries, Regions Business Capital, and C&I units, as well as other parts of the bank in establishing a range of enterprise values for leveraged transactions, while maintaining independence from the line of business when developing their analysis and valuation conclusions.

Primary Responsibilities

Analyzes the borrowers historical financial performance, including the impact of industry and competitive dynamics and macroeconomic events

Reviews management prepared financial projections to determine if the assumptions used to build the projections are reasonable and supportable

Develops an independent EV Case projection model with assumptions and key drivers well supported by factors including but not limited to:

Historical financial performance / trends

Independent industry research and business research

Consideration of general economic trends;

Utilize public data or other resources (including FactSet) for market comparables

Develops a discounted cash flow based enterprise value for each borrower

Prepares an EV Analysis documenting support for the assumptions used to build the EV Case projections that support the valuation conclusions

Participates, as needed, in credit meetings on specific transactions

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. 

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Five (5) years of commercial banking or investment banking experience

Completion of a commercial banking training program

Skills and Competencies

Self-starter

Excellent communications skills

Strong accounting and finance skills

Advanced User of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as knowledge of Moody's Risk Analytics software, including projection modeling

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

Excellent financial modeling skills, with specific experience building discounted cash flow models

Well organized, attention to detail, and able to manage multiple projects under pressure

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$56,258.95 USD

Median:

$79,160.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
