Credit Operations Leader – Mesoandean Region
The Credit Operations Leader will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end credit lifecycle across the Mesoandean region, ensuring both operational excellence and strategic alignment with business objectives. This role combines leadership of credit operations with proactive credit risk management, supporting sustainable growth while safeguarding the company’s financial health. The leader will report to the Global Credit Operations Leader and collaborate closely with Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Treasury teams. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead and manage the Mesoandean Credit Operations team, ensuring timely and accurate execution of credit and collections processes. + Ensure adherence to Corteva Global Credit Policy, internal controls, and compliance standards. + Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and service quality. + Oversee staffing, performance management, and career development for team members. + Champion standardization and automation initiatives to streamline credit operations. + Evaluate and monitor credit risk exposure for key clients, aligning with the Company’s risk appetite and commercial strategy. + Define and assign credit limits based on financial analysis, industry trends, and client performance. + Identify and implement risk mitigation tools such as credit insurance, guarantees, and factoring. + Act as a strategic partner in deal structuring, balancing risk and growth objectives. + Monitor macroeconomic and sector-specific risks to proactively adjust credit strategies. + Build strong relationships with strategic clients (including regular visits) and internal stakeholders to support business development and risk-informed decision-making. + Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on credit portfolio performance and emerging risks. + Lead the development and governance of credit risk frameworks, policies, and escalation protocols. + Support internal and external audits, ensuring robust documentation and control execution. **Qualifications** + University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + International credit certification is a plus. + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Credit and/or other Finance areas. + Demonstrated leadership experience. + Solid knowledge of accounting principles. + Proficiency in English is required. + Strong PC skills, including MS Office and email platforms. **Skills & Attributes** + Strong team leadership with the ability to influence and motivate others. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish. + High customer focus and service orientation. + Proven ability to act as a change agent and drive transformation. + Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement. + Strong personal commitment to collaboration and team success.
