You will balance hands-on management of reporting operations with strategic modernization, driving automation and process innovation to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable information for portfolio risk managers and business lines. You will lead the development of an offshore team to support enterprise strategies around global delivery. You will own and evolve the credit risk reporting vision, integrating new technologies, strengthening governance, and ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide data strategies. This role is central to both day-to-day operational excellence and the advancement of our reporting platforms, supporting teams across Credit Risk Management. You will represent credit risk reporting in key initiatives, collaborating with Business Line Stakeholders, Risk Managers, Technology teams, Data Domain Owners, and reporting functions to gather requirements, define priorities, and deliver scalable solutions. You will also partner with enterprise leaders to align reporting processes with broader data strategy and governance standards. **Key Activities** + Lead a team to redesign and transform credit risk reporting processes, supporting portfolio risk managers and business lines. + Oversee an extensive inventory of wholesale and retail reports, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. + Lead the design and implementation of credit reporting strategy, including governance, new technology adoption, and modernization. + Oversee BAU reporting processes (i.e. Month and Quarter End Close), ensuring data quality, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance. + Drive the modernization of reporting platforms, integrating new technologies and automating processes using Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI, data models, and deployment pipelines. + Collaborate with Subject-Matter Experts in Credit Risk Management (CRM) to gather requirements, design data models, and implement robust validation and reconciliation controls. + Champion the satisfaction of report end-users by executing reliable, controlled, and scalable reporting processes. + Build strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders, communicating vision and plans to analysts, risk managers, and senior leadership. + Support system conversions and cloud migration efforts, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. + Leverage AI tools and platforms, including Microsoft Copilot, to enhance productivity, automate processes, and support reporting workflows. + Lead and mentor a team of reporting professionals, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. + Support global delivery efforts. + Ensure procedural documentation and strong controls to support third party reviews. **Core Competencies:** + Deep understanding of credit data across Commercial, Wholesale, and Retail portfolios. + Extensive experience in data, governance, and analytics within financial services. + Credit data governance and regulatory knowledge (e.g., Basel III, Category II, CCAR, CECL, Regulatory Submissions FRY14). + Cloud data architecture and open-source tooling (e.g., Spark, Airflow, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks). + Familiarity with AI-driven tools and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform) to streamline data operations and accelerate data delivery. + Strong analytical skills for researching and remediating reporting issues. + Proven ability to manage staff with competing priorities and deliver results under pressure. + Excellent communication skills for engaging with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. + Technical fluency in SQL, Python, or similar languages, and proficiency with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerBI). **Basic Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). + 10 or more years at a financial institution working in one or combination of reporting and information, decision science, credit portfolio, data management, data governance, data quality, or data analytics. + Extensive knowledge of credit risk data across commercial and retail lending portfolios. + 3 or more years of management experience (including leading multidisciplinary development teams) **Preferred Skills** + Strong understanding of credit decisioning metrics such as credit score, loan-to-value, risk ratings, and debt service coverage ratio. + 10+ years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL and SAS. + Proficiency with big data technologies including Hadoop, Hive, and Spark. + Experience designing and implementing data lineage frameworks and enterprise data model architectures. + Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows like GitLab, GitHub. + Expertise in visual analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms. + Experience with Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps. + Proven track record in automating and optimizing ETL processes at scale. + Working knowledge of SOX controls and quality assurance frameworks in financial services. + Experience building robust data controls, validation checks, and audit-ready reporting pipelines. + Strong familiarity with both Microsoft and Linux/UNIX environments. + Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native data services. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical processes and engaging with cross-functional teams. + Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data analysis into actionable insights for senior management. + General knowledge of finance, banking, and accounting principles relevant to credit risk. + Experience supporting regulatory initiatives such as CCAR, CECL, DFAST, or Basel III. + Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. + Strong project management skills and experience leading data-driven transformation initiatives.
