Credit Data & Analytics Manager


U.S. Bank’s Credit Risk Administration (CRA) team is seeking a Credit Data & Analytics Manager to lead a growing team
of data analytics professionals, including both data scientists and reporting analysts.

About the Role


In this role, you will lead a team of analysts that will collaborate with our U.S. based team on:

Managing ETL processes to pull, cleanse and reconcile data centrally;

Designing and maintaining reporting solutions and dashboards that provide insights into credit data;

Monitoring and analyzing the performance of predictive models used in credit risk management;

Developing and maintaining models and processes used to generate forecasts of expected credit losses;

Developing automated solutions to support process re-engineering efforts

Managing select reporting processes, including Data Visualization and reporting, and deliverables

You will oversee the development of scalable, automated processes for both advanced analytics and business

reporting, ensuring high-quality outputs that support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a background in both programming and data analytics, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for problem solving.

Key Activities

Hire, train, and mentor a diverse team of data scientists and reporting analysts.

Overseeing the quarterly model monitoring process to assess the ongoing performance of predictive models and

generate reports and dashboards to communicate results.

Lead the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools that provide transparency into credit

risk metrics and model outcomes.

Develop and deliver credit forecasting models

Manage ETL data load and reconciliation processes

Run select core reporting processes

Ensure quality control and compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate data pipelines, reporting workflows, and documentation

processes.

Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Computer

Science, or related discipline); Master’s preferred.

8+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.

Industry experience in banking or financial services.

Proven experience managing teams of data professionals, including both technical and business-focused analysts.

Experience with data visualization, reporting, and analytics tools.

Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Excellent communication skills and proven success in managing cross-team partnerships.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Familiarity with Python, R, and/or SAS for data analysis and model monitoring.

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate/PowerApps/Robotic Process Automation, shell

scripting).

Knowledge of credit risk modeling, model validation, or regulatory reporting.

Exposure to machine learning concepts and their application in financial services.

Understanding of version control systems like Git.

Location

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
