Job Title: Credit & Collections Analyst
Location: Brampton, ON (Hybrid)

Job Summary

Take charge of our accounts receivable and credit management operations. You'll be the point person for credit decisions, collections, and dispute resolution while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams. We need someone who's confident, persistent, and ready to drive results.

 

Key Responsibilities

Credit Risk Management:

Review and analyze credit applications for new and existing customersEstablish appropriate credit limits based on trade references and financial statementsConduct formal credit limit reviews annually or as business needs requireMonitor customer activity and escalate concerns to Finance and Sales ManagementReview Industry Trade Credit Reports to support credit decisions

Collections & Account Management:

Perform daily collections activities (calls, emails, reminders, mass communications)Manage assigned customer portfolio and past due invoicesDrive consistent follow-up with customers to resolve outstanding balancesReview and release customer orders based on credit standingBuild strong relationships with key decision makers in customer organizations

Dispute Resolution & Coordination:

Conduct weekly reviews of disputed balances and drive resolutionHandle unearned discounts, duplicate deductions, and billing discrepanciesEscalate billing issues and coordinate solutions with Sales Team and Customer CareCollaborate closely with Sales Management and Customer Care on collection concernsMaintain strong working relationships across departments

System & Process Management:

Maintain accurate accounts receivable recordsSupport development of collection tools (GETPAID, QlikView)Support implementation of new ERP solutionFollow all Credit Department policies and proceduresApply credit holds and release orders as appropriate

 

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting an asset5+ years of credit and collections experience (Manufacturing/Construction industry preferred)Strong background in credit analysis and limit management

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with GETPAID system (preferred)Familiarity with ERP systems

Personal Attributes:

Strong written and verbal communication skillsEnergetic self-starter with initiative to improve processesExcellent problem-solving abilitiesBilingual English/French (asset)

 

Salary: $70k+
