Credit Approval Control Analyst

Wealth Credit Management (WCM) at Citi is a business line that provides integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction, and portfolio management in partnership with all the origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi. We are looking to hire an experienced professional for the Credit Approval Control Team within Loan Process and Transaction Management in the WCM organization.

CAC provides an independent and comprehensive Quality Control at the credit approval stage to ensure data accuracy, regulatory and policy requirements as well as wealth product program specifics are followed and addressed appropriately. This team works closely with Underwriters and Team Heads to facilitate a seamless credit process and mitigate several risks.

In this role, candidate will have the opportunity to learn, expand their knowledge, and make a difference in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with regional and local regulations as well as Citi’s Policies and Product Programs impacting the BusinessReview credit, regulatory & policy driven data attributes in the credit systemEnsure loan parties are KYC complaint prior authorizing facilityVerify credit memo information and data captured in credit system for consistencyEnsure appropriate approval levels are obtainedAuthorize credit facility approvals and modifications in the regional systemEnsure compliance of local regulatory documentation prior to the facility authorizationLead projects and provide valuable input with various working groups created to enhance performance and efficiency

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Knowledge of loan productsGood understanding of Credit MemoKnowledge of Citibank’s Credit Policies, Wealth Product Programs, and Citi policiesUnderstanding of regional and local regulations including Swiss lawsFamiliarity with loan documentation structureUnderstanding of KYC and AML policiesStrong initiative and interactive approach to problem solvingExperience collaborating with Underwriters

Qualifications:

Experience in a large financial institution is a mustPrior experience in working in a control function, credit management or banking/client service role is preferredUnderstanding of lending rules and regulations is preferredUndergraduate degree is requiredProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Attention to detailExcellent oral and written communication capability
