Credit Analyst l

Perform the analysis of financial statements and tax returns using nCino for Account Officers to use in their recommendations for new and renewal extensions of credit. Calculate various financial ratios to assist in the ongoing monitoring of borrower compliance to financial covenants per loan agreements and the submission of financial documents. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manages ticklers and covenants and monitors receipt of financial documents pertaining to the existing credits using nCino. This may include financial statements for borrowers, owners and/or guarantors, tax returns, financial spreads, collateral information, covenants, borrowing base, credit reports, and projections. 

• Prepares and analyzes financial spreads using nCino for private and public companies, prospect, individual and corporate tax returns according to the standard classification and guidelines established by the Bank.   

• Prepares individual and global cash flows for Credit Analysis Officers.     

• Calculates covenant compliance based on Borrower’s Loan Agreement (BLA).   

• Forwards completed nCino spreads to lending unit.  Identifies and notifies lending unit of covenant violations and escalates as required.  

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge on all Bank lending policies and regulations. 

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge in financial spreads and basic GCF process. 

• Completes quality spreads with supervision.  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field 

preferred, or 2 years related experience in credit or financial analysis. Intermediate accounting is required or must be completed within 18 months of hire.

• Experience: Minimum one year (prefers two) of working experience in analyzing 

financial statements, cash flow analysis, familiarity with various industries, collateral issues and values, and analysis of guarantor personal financial statements and tax returns.  

• Skills/Ability: Good working knowledge of accounting, credit policy and financial 

statement analysis.  Good organizational and analytical skills.  Good verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work successfully both independently and as a team player.  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
