Credit Analyst
Description Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Credit Analyst to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of the finance team, the Credit Analyst will evaluate creditworthiness, analyze financial data, and establish credit policies to ensure sound financial decisions are made while minimizing credit risk. Key Responsibilities: + Credit Analysis: Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of clients and organizations seeking credit. + Risk Assessment: Conduct risk analysis to identify potential exposures and recommend credit limits based on findings. + Customer Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve credit issues while maintaining positive business relationships. + Credit Policy Development: Assist in developing and improving credit policies, standards, and SOPs to align with the company's goals. + Performance Monitoring: Track accounts receivable performance and audit accounts to identify trends in payment behavior or evolving risks. + Reporting: Prepare detailed credit summaries, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders. + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate and industry-specific credit regulations and standards while maintaining accurate records. Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum of 2-4 years of direct experience in corporate credit analysis, accounts receivable, and collections. + Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's etc.) + Excellent ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations. + Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate findings and maintain professional interactions. + Credit risk certifications such as Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or any relevant coursework through the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) is highly desired, but not required.
