Credentialing Coordinator
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing the acquisition and renewal of out-of-state licenses for MD Anderson Cancer Center's clinical faculty and other licensed practitioners. This role plays a critical part in supporting the institution's virtual care strategy by ensuring providers have the necessary credentials to deliver care across state lines efficiently and in compliance with regulatory requirements. *Out-of-State Licensure Management*Oversee the end-to-end process of obtaining and maintaining out-of-state licenses for MD Anderson clinical faculty and other designated licensed practitioners. Ensure timely application submissions, track license expirations, and manage renewal processes in compliance with state-specific regulations. Proactively monitor maintenance requirements and address any issues to prevent lapses in licensure. *Data Management and Quality Assurance* Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the credentialing database, maintaining the integrity of licensure records. Review prepopulated applications for completeness and accuracy, identifying any discrepancies or deficiencies. Conduct research and escalate issues to leadership as needed to ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. *Administrative Liaison* Act as the primary point of contact for administrative support staff in clinical departments, facilitating the licensing process for candidates and ensuring alignment with the institution's overall licensing strategy. Provide guidance on requirements, streamline communication, and support a coordinated approach to out-of-state licensure. *Process Documentation and Tracking* Develop and maintain job aids, workflow documentation, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance in credentialing and out-of-state licensure processes. Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders as needed. *Education * Required: High school diploma or equivalent. *Experience * Required: Three years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, accounting, auditing or other related field. Preferred: Experience with hospital credentialing licenses, credentialing database, and out-of-state licenses. Certification is a plus. This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
