Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

CNBC is seeking a highly skilled Creative Strategist to join the CNBC Events Sales Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Sales Marketing, this individual will be primarily responsible for developing high-quality and high-impact custom sales proposals for senior-level decision makers at Fortune 500 companies and other large enterprise organizations. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for strategic, creative storytelling and executive persuasion. The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative environment, working regularly with sales directors and other internal partners to yield top-notch, client-first marketing materials that support sales efforts throughout the sales cycle.

What you’ll do:

Collaborate with CNBC Events sales directors, as well as internal partners in Ad Sales, Partner Success, Editorial, Audience, Production, Strategic Content, Brand Studio, PR, Brand Marketing, and other groups, to craft strategic marketing solutions for clients, both proactively and in response to RFPsCreate custom proposals that maintain a high standard for how we communicate through pitch decks, taking complex ideas and simplifying into concise yet powerful marketing opportunitiesPrioritize visual storytelling, utilizing a mix of existing templates and new slide design to portray opportunities in captivating, visually appealing waysPay close attention to detail by reviewing each custom proposal to not only confirm accuracy and availability of what’s being offered, but also that the proper notes, callouts and/or caveats are includedDevelop other supporting materials such as custom program recaps and case studies to provide an assortment of tools to CNBC Events sales directorsBuild executive-level meeting presentations for both internal and external sales efforts as needed to communicate the CNBC Events value proposition and opportunitiesMaintain creative consistency across materials, ensuring that all custom proposals and other collateral adhere to the CNBC Events brand identity and quality standardsConduct industry/competitive research and provide insights and recommendations that enhance the CNBC Events value proposition and storytellingMaintain organization of CNBC Events Sales & Marketing team’s pre-sale and client-specific web-based folders, as well as track all outgoing custom proposals

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

5+ years of experience creating custom sales proposals and supporting materials for Sales & Marketing organizations, ideally in the B2B events spaceDemonstrated history of success in custom sales proposal strategy working with cross-functional partners, including senior leadershipExceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, approaching each unique situation strategically and intentionallyExcellent written and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to use concise language and sleek PowerPoint design to tell a compelling storyHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySolid understanding of overall B2B events and media sales ecosystems, key trends, and marketplace dynamics/cyclesA team player, with the ability to develop strong working relationships and leverage those relationships to yield desired results

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
