The position seeks candidates capable of covering both the roles of Creative Strategist and Ad Operation Specialist to meet current business needs. Initially, the focus will be more on the Ad Operation side, with the Creative Strategist responsibilities being scaled up later based on business requirements and client situations.
Creative Strategist role requires a proactive individual who can manage client relationships through strategic optimizations to drive revenue, and work on multiple projects to enhance campaign performance and client satisfaction. You will need to interface directly with the client on a regular basis regarding optimization suggestions and improvement proposals.
Creative Strategist is responsible for improving account performance, customer satisfaction, increasing revenue, and expanding account revenue through suggestions/optimizations.
In addition, you will play a critical role in operating marketing campaigns to drive performance and revenue growth as Ad Operation Specialist. This position demands a detail-oriented individual capable of handling diverse projects, creating data-driven performance reports, and providing actionable insights to clients through our Account management team. The role involves close collaboration with Account Managers, and Data Optimization teams to strengthen relationships with global clients advertising on Yahoo! JAPAN, LINE, and other media platforms.
Here are the main Role & Responsibilities:
Client Management
Communicate directly with clients to understand their status, needs, pain points, and KPIs.
Provide advanced strategic suggestions and optimization best practices during in-person/online meetings and via emails, in both Japanese and English.
Enhance client satisfaction and trust by implementing optimizations and suggestions that improve performance, traffic, and acquire new users.
Provide information on Japanese business, market trends, seasonality, Yahoo! JAPAN Search Ad characteristics, and its user graphics, and make proposals that take these factors into account.
Optimization & Strategy
Create & Provide Ad Copy, Keyword, Targeting, and Bidding Strategy suggestions based on the client's situation
Prepare optimization suggestions and proposals for account expansion using various data sources, including performance reports, LY data, market trends, competitor analysis, seasonality, and new features.
Demonstrate experience in effectively optimizing marketing campaigns by analyzing performance and recommending adjustments to key performance drivers.
Increase revenue from assigned clients by executing strategic initiatives and optimizations.
Analyze the results of each initiative and optimization for further improvements and expansion, sharing best practices with the team.
Work with an engineering team/optimization strategist to help streamline flows, scalable solutions, and automate processes
Work on tasks by communicating closely with Manager, Account Manager, and Data Optimization to ensure accurate prioritization, taking into account revenue impact
Campaign & Ad Operations:
Oversee campaign setup, bulk uploads, and quality assurance tasks
Double-checking and providing backup support for other team members.
Utilize LY's Ad management tool and campaign editor & share the best practices with team members
Analyze performance data using tools like internal tool, pivot table, graphs, and functions in Excel or Google Sheets
Assist in media planning, simulations, and data collection in collaboration with team members (Inbound AM/CS/OS/DO).
Support keyword expansion, creative development (Title/Description ad copy creation and display banner/video creatives development with creative partners), and ad copy proposals.
Contribute to the preparation and of materials for MBR/QBR/YBR and regular client meetings. Also, present the optimization suggestions & initiatives during these meetings.
Account Onboarding:
Work on the onboarding process for Yahoo! JAPAN, LINE Ads, and other media in collaboration with New Business and Inbound teams for new clients.
Provide guidance for new clients and POCs on how to access and use Yahoo! JAPAN Ad and LINE Ad platform and campaign editor.
Communicate with clients (English or Japanese via email) and LY Partners for a smooth onboarding process.
General & Administrative Support
Work on translation projects:
Facilitate translations using the in-house service
Review translated English materials and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and quality.
Provide customer support to small and out-of-tier clients via support forms and email (in English and Japanese).
Assist with administrative & general tasks as assigned based on the business needs.
Skills & Qualifications
Expertise in operating marketing campaigns through performance and data analysis for LINE and Yahoo! JAPAN Ads (Search and Display Ads)
Proven experience in optimizing ad campaigns through performance analysis and strategic adjustments.
Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English with clients/agencies, partners, and internal/external team members (verbal and written)
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks effectively with proper prioritization.
Strong communication/client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships through strategic & advanced optimizations.
Proficiency with LINE and Yahoo! JAPAN Ad management tools, Web UI, campaign editors, and data analysis tools.
Technical proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (including pivot table, graph, sum/if and other functions,.etc), PowerPoint/Google Slides.
