Job Summary/Description:
WSAW-TV, the CBS/FOX/CW affiliate in Wausau, WI, is seeking a dynamic producer with a passion for marketing and commercial production. The ideal candidate should be able to write, produce, shoot, and edit high-concept advertising for local businesses and station marketing campaigns, both in television and digital space. The candidate should be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as a team.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• A passion for marketing and the creative process
• Work well within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
• Compelling writer with great communication skills. Recognizes how to craft an engaging message focused on the viewer's/client's benefit
• Write, edit, shoot, and produce content for station brands, advertisers, and nonprofit organizations
• Coordinate all aspects of commercial production, including working with advertisers, media executives, and agencies
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, able to adapt to changing deadlines while presenting a calming and confident presence
• Assist in station-sponsored events when needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 1-2 years of video production experience minimum
• Bachelor's degree in a related field. Equivalent work experience may suffice.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud. Primarily Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Experience shooting on a DSLR and/or professional-grade video cameras
• Knowledge of production lighting techniques
• Ability to write, shoot, and edit content that tells a compelling story
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• FAA Drone Certification a plus (Part 107 UAS)
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
