Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Creative Production Senior Designer to support our Event Production team at Cox Automotive. This role will support the Creative Production Senior Manager to deliver high-impact, brand-aligned experiences across more than 80 events annually. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of creative vision, technical production knowledge, and project leadership to manage events from concept through execution.
The Creative Production Senior Designer is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of communicating effectively with executives and team members. An intermediate understanding of audio, video, and lighting (AVL) is essential, along with the ability to understand and work with signal flow diagrams for each show.
What You’ll Do
Logistics Management: Oversee the logistical aspects of event production, including scheduling, vendor coordination, budgeting, and asset tracking.
Run of Show Creation: Develop and lead run of show documentation and execution for high-visibility events.
Vendor Booking and Coordination: Negotiate and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality production outcomes.
Asset Tracking and Timelines: Manage the tracking and workflow of assets and enforce timelines are adhered to across multiple concurrent projects.
Show Calling: Serve as lead show caller, making real-time decisions to ensure flawless event execution.
Vectorworks Diagrams: Create and update Vectorworks diagrams of event spaces to support technical and creative planning.
RFP Management: Manage the RFP process from initiation through to payment including vendor evaluation, selection, and budget reconciliation.
Facilities and Security Coordination: Schedule and coordinate with facilities and security for events to ensure compliance and readiness for all event environments.
Executive Interaction: Act as primary liaison for executive stakeholders during live events, ensuring readiness and confidence on stage.
AVL Understanding: Maintain an intermediate understanding of audio, video, and lighting.
End-User Planning: Understand and plan for the needs of every end user during events, from executives on stage and their monitor views to stream viewers at home, ensuring a seamless experience for all.
Metrics and Reporting: Analyze and report post-event metrics to inform future production strategy and continuous improvement.
Asset Archiving: Collect and organize all show assets for the archive following each event.

Who You Are
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 4 years of related experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in a related field
Proven experience in event production logistics or a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in event management software and tools.
High level of discretion and professionalism.
Intermediate understanding of audio, video, and lighting (AVL) systems.
Proficiency in Excel, Vectorworks, and basic audio, video, and streaming technologies.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to double-check all aspects of event planning and execution.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently and make strategic decisions under pressure.
Experience supporting executive-level productions and managing cross-functional teams.
Travel: 20%
Preferred:
Degree in Event Management, Event Production or a related field.
