Creative Design Intern

Job Description

SUMMARY:  

We’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic intern to join our Teaching & Learning team as a Visual Content Creator. In this role, you’ll help bring high school courses to life by producing engaging, student-centered content on camera and behind the mic. Your work will help shape the way thousands of students connect with their learning journey.  

The Visual Content Creator Intern will support the creation of dynamic and student-centered video and audio content for high school courses. They will assist in on-camera production, voiceover recording, and visual storytelling to enhance student engagement and connection to course materials. In this role, the intern will collaborate closely with members of the Teaching & Learning team, including instructional designers, visual designers, audio/video editors, and subject matter experts, to develop compelling media that supports online learning experiences for a diverse student audience. 

In this role you will be able to: 

Contribute to the development of impactful student learning experiences 

Gain practical experience in educational media production and storytelling 

Build a creative portfolio with content designed to support K–12 learners 

Collaborate with a mission-driven team focused on innovation in education

Creates and delivers short-form video content by appearing on camera to explain or illustrate course concepts for high school learners 

Records voiceovers for animations, tutorials, and lesson segments to support multimedia instructional content 

Collaborates with Instructional Design and Teaching & Learning team members to brainstorm, script, and storyboard peer-driven content ideas 

Identifies and applies strategies that make educational content feel fresh, relatable, and relevant to a diverse high school audience 

Communicates complex topics with clarity and engagement through the use of visuals, storytelling techniques, and voice performance 

Supports the production of student-centered multimedia assets that align with curriculum goals and visual design standards 

Demonstrates an understanding of the business, needs and business goals 

Executes tasks by utilizing various technologies and platforms specific to the business in addition to creative and design programs 

Provides additional support to the Creative Design and Curriculum Development teams as needed 

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:    

Current or rising college student pursuing a BS/BA or MS/MA degree in Graphic Design/Media, Animation, Product Design, UX Design, or a related field 

 

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Strong communication skills and passion for creative media 

Comfortable speaking on camera and recording audio narration 

Interest in education, storytelling, and digital content production 

Experience with basic video/audio editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, iMovie, or similar (preferred but not required) 

Ability to listen effectively, respect others’ perspectives and contributions, and offer and accept constructive feedback 

Willingness to contribute new ideas and creative approaches 

Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and excellent problem-solving skills 

Detail-oriented and organized 

Currently enrolled in college or a recent high school graduate 

Reliable access to a computer and internet for remote work 

Ability to execute creative ideas into practical solutions 

Observational and listening skills 

Ability to clear required background check

This is a home-based position. 

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

We anticipate the hourly range to be $14.42 - $22.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
