Creative Copywriter

About the role:

We’re looking for a thoughtful, imaginative and versatile Creative Copywriter to join our dynamic Brand Marketing team.As a fresh-thinking, skilled writer and clear communicator, you will work on various projects. From punchy campaign straplines and brand storytelling to features and commercially driven paid ad copy, as well as international push notifications and emails. You will work collaboratively with multiple areas of the business to support with copy for NEXT, brands within NEXT, eCommerce and Marketing comms.

If you love creating impactful copy with demonstrable experience writing for a wide range of brands, can nail messaging for key touch points and have an abundance of creative ideas, we want to hear from you. 

We can offer flexible hybrid working based at the NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire.

 

You will:

Write creative, clear and engaging copy across a wide range of formats: campaign headlines, homepage messaging, social captions, email content, landing pages, product storytelling, display ads, banners, app copy and more. Craft copy that reflects the tone and values of each brand partner. Contribute to longer-form editorial features and seasonal brand stories. Help keep our copy consistent, considered and on-brand across all platforms. Work with teams across marketing, design and trading to plan and prioritise content needs. Play a part in shaping and evolving our Tone of Voice guidelines. Ensure all copy is accurate, helpful and on brand.  Keep to deadlines and supporting the roll out of new content on time.

 

About You:

Experienced working in a creative, fast-paced environment, whether that's in retail, agency, or editorial. A confident writer with a sharp eye for grammar, spelling and the little details that make copy stand out. Comfortable working across both brand-led storytelling and more commercial, conversion-focused copy. Naturally collaborative: you enjoy working closely with designers, marketers and merchandisers to bring ideas to life. Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once, and able to adapt your tone of voice to suit different brands or audiences. Open to experimenting with new tools and technologies, including AI, to enhance your creative process. Up to date with fashion, lifestyle and digital trends and able to reflect that in your work. A team player who’s proactive, positive and enjoys contributing ideas and opinions.
