Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve. *More about our team* Very busy Operating Room – General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology. ** *How you’ll contribute* A CRCSTwho excels in this role: ** * Follow established protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, preparing and packaging, disinfecting or sterilizing, and storing medical and surgical * supplies and equipment. * Distribute medical and surgical supplies from sterile processing areas to other areas within the facility or health care organization as needed. * Adhere to standard precautions including the use of personal protective equipment. * Follow safety procedures and manufacturer’s instructions when handling cleaning solutions, supplies and equipment. * Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety. * Monitor, interpret and document results of physical, chemical and biological indicators for all types of sterilizers used in the sterile processing * area. * Prepare and distribute surgical instrument sets according to physician’s preference cards and anticipated needs of the perioperative team. * Inventory, receive, and restock materials used for supporting sterile processing services. * Carry out appropriate sterilization methods, utilizing care and guidelines for use of steam, ethylene oxide and low temp sterilizers. * Follow appropriate infection control techniques throughout various workstations within the department and throughout the hospital. * Collect data and keep sterilization records on file. * Assist with improving the quality of sterile processing services and identifying pertinent evidence to establish benchmarks as directed. * Assist with identifying pertinent evidence to establish benchmarks as directed. * Develop the strategic plan and processes to attain expected outcomes for sterile processing services. *Why join us* We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
