The Boeing Company is seeking a Crater to support Boeing Global Services in SeaTac, WA. Employees in this position work in a Distribution Center or a Shipping Area building wooden and fiberboard crates for domestic and export shipments and storage.

In this role, you will be required to work on either second or third shift. :

2nd shift: (2:30PM to 11:00PM)

3rd shift: (11:00PM to 6:00AM).

Position Responsibilities:

Operate typical wood shop power tools such as table and band saws

Operate typical hand tools such as hammer, drill and pneumatic nail gun

Operate powered industrial trucks

Apply labels, paint stencils and glue padding to crates

Move completed crates to prescribed areas

Eye, ear, hand and foot protection will be required to be worn

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to carry up to 15lbs frequently and occasionally up to 35lbs

1+ years of experience with power equipment and hand tools such as hammers, saws, wrenches

Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30PM to 11PM)

Ability to work 3rd shift, as required by this position

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

2+ years experience with shop equipment such as tables saws, band saws, and pnuematic nail guns. 

1+ year of experience in carpentry

Union:

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $23.00.00/HR – $47.44/HR
