**About the job you’re considering**
We are seeking an experienced Fastener Application Specialist to support our client with technical expertise in comprehensive fastener reviews. The Fastener Application Specialist will have a relevant professional background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
**Your role**
- Provide technical expertise and support for fastener joint designs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Conduct detailed reviews of fastener applications, including material selection, torque specifications, and installation methods
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop and validate fastener solutions for new and existing products
- Perform on-site application reviews and troubleshooting to resolve fastener-related issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices for fastener applications
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to internal and external stakeholders
- Support the sales team with technical consultations and customer interactions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fastener application processes and product quality
**Your skills and experience**
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree in a technical field
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in fastener applications or a similar role with an Automotive OEM
- Strong understanding of fastener materials, design principles, and installation techniques
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
