CPP Instructor

Position Summary

The Career Preparation Instructor is responsible for providing instruction and training to students during the Career Preparation Program at Job Corps. This role involves developing individual achievement plans, evaluating student progress, and ensuring early retention and success in the program. The instructor supervises and mentor students, providing guidance and support to help them complete the program requirements and transition to the Career Development Program.

Responsibilities Develop individual achievement plans for students Evaluate student performance and progress regularly Provide remedial support and guidance to students Conduct effective classroom instruction Ensure compliance with DOL/Company performance goals Document student performance using the case management system Coordinate pre-arrival activities for new students Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment Mentor and model Career Success Standards for students Collaborate with staff from all departments to enhance student services

About Brunswick Job Corps Center 

The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one-year experience in teaching or related field required. Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization. For NTC, instructor must be certified by union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying organization. Previous Job Corps experience preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the
ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance. (Depending upon trade)
