The User Services and Circulation team is made up of the Manager, and the Resource Sharing Coordinator in addition to this Course Readings Specialist role. While providing excellent customer service, we guide users through the library's services, facilitate the borrowing and lending of our diverse collections—from general circulation items and course readings to popular gadgets—and collaborate with external lending libraries to expand access for our users. This dynamic role's responsibilities include: + Course Readings:Maintain the library’s digital and physical course readings collection including timely processing of materials into the Alma ILS, checking copyright, communicating with faculty and library stakeholders, and assisting in the development of documentation and workflows. + Student Employee Supervision:Assist the User Services Manager with recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, and supervision of front desk student assistants. + Stacks Maintenance: Oversee physical collection stacks maintenance including searching for missing materials, maintaining order of collection, assigning tasks to student employees, and other routine duties. + User Services and Circulation Desk Operations: Infill gaps in student coverage at the front desk, including providing users with basic information about library resources. Please note: this position reports to campus e ither Tuesday -Saturday from 10am-6pm or Sunday-Thursday 10am-6pm.
