We are seeking a motivated Country Regulatory Manager to lead and coordinate regulatory initiatives across all sites ( Arica, Viluco , Temuco and Paine). This position will be located in Paine, Chile supporting the permitting process for research and production activities with regulated products, and ensuring full compliance with local and global standards.
This position works closely with the RAS Seeds Leader – Chile to ensure all Chilean programs and teams are aligned with local regulatory agency requirements and Corteva's regional and global Stewardship & Compliance standards. All activities are carried out in close collaboration with operational and functional leaders, in a role of exclusive trust for the company.
Your Challenge:
• Provide direct support to the RAS Seeds Leader - Chile, coordinating regulatory activities, supervising teams, and ensuring compliance with timelines and requirements.
• Coordinate the submission of information required by regulations to SAG: Submit GMO dossiers to SAG (CRD & SRD) and NBT’s.
• Act as the regulatory and phytosanitary expert, providing guidance to teams in Chile to ensure all seed and plant material shipments comply with national and international regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regulatory agencies and any other officials organism as needed.
• Monitor industry trends and provide insights to internal teams.
• Support the RAS Seeds Leader Chile by managing permit requests for the import of unregistered agrochemical products used in seed production for export.
• Interact with local sites and global Compliance teams to prevent and mitigate potential incidents and delivery information to SAG.
• Generate procedures and protocols to standardize processes.
• Supervise hybrid seed certification to ensure local market access.
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Biology, or related.
• 4–5 years of experience in Regulatory, Compliance, QA, or Seed Operations.
• Strong knowledge of GMO/NBT regulations and phytosanitary requirements.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Attention to detail, ability to track complex regulatory matters, and ensure compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects aligned with business needs.
Desired Experience:
• Experience interacting with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to resolve shipping, import/export, and compliance-related issues.
• Skilled in risk assessment, regulatory planning, and process improvement.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and internal stewardship programs.
