Country Finance Controller / CFO

Our Client is an international investment fund who set up partnerships with medical clinics in Romania.

 

Scope of the role:

This role will lead the analysis, reporting and financial planning procedures in an expanding a network of  clinics in Romania, aiming to reach EUR 20m+ in revenues in upcoming 2 years This is an ideal role for an accountant at base ideally an authorized accountant or CECCAR /ACCA, who also got strong knowledge in the business financial reporting and business controlling.

Information about the team: Team Dynamics: Reporting to: Country manager and the functional- to Head of Controlling /CFO Group in Central EU Career Growth: Co values ambition and internal growth, aiming to promote from within. In near future (probably next momth post your hire)  you will be able to hire a sr. financial analysr in your team and continue to use external accounting support.

This position requires a professional who is comfortable working with financial data coming from external companies, where records might not always be perfectly structured. We are looking for someone who understands the dynamics of smaller businesses and is open to navigating “messy finance” with a constructive mindset. The company is constantly improving and refining its financial processes, so while the starting point may sometimes require flexibility and patience, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to shaping and strengthening the financial processes. Due to high urgency of filling the role, your availabilty to start soonest will be an advantage.

Requirements:

Min.4-5 years professional similar experience with proven track record in controlling & accounting University Degree (Economics, Finance, Management) Knowledge of MS Office, esp. Excel (proficient), Power Point and Word Experience and skills in reporting, forecasting and data analysis Good organization and problem-solving skills English level: fluent CECCAR certification (nice to have) ACCA a great plus! Prior experience in an accounting firm - could be nice to have.

Goals & Responsibilities (high level):

Lead the financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis across the business Provide commercial insight and analysis of results, identify underlying trends Accurate management reports, including an analysis of sales, operational expenditure, EBITDA, capital expenditure Take ownership of performance management for the business including identifying and reporting KPIs which are linked to company strategy and drive positive actions Prepare financial forecasts and budgets Support the strategic planning and strategic initiatives of the company, including acquisitions and investment appraisal, by providing financial planning and modelling skills Support and challenge clinic and operations teams with financial issues including providing financial training Ensure integrity of financial data supplied by financial accounting team to other areas of the business and to external stakeholders

Detailed Responsibilities:

Reporting actual results to: regional CFO, CEO, clinics managers Sales, margin, OPEX, CAPEX controlling in clinics OPEX, CAPEX controlling in HQ Analysis of differences (actual vs budget vs prior year) Corrective and mitigation actions Controlling receivables, payables, inventory (working capital) Ad hoc financial analysis

Ensuring KPIs are met (revenue, EBITDA, CAPEX) Reporting within deadlines

Qualitative:

Provide financial support to clinics and managers Deliver internal business partner satisfaction
