The Country Communications Specialist is responsible for ABB’s local internal and external digital platforms (social media, web) that promote content from ABB divisions, business areas, and group communications. The individual also supports cascading employee communications from group and developing employee communications unique to the individual country.

Main Responsibilities:

Oversight and maintenance of ABB’s digital platforms in country that promote content from ABB’s  divisions, business areas, and ABB group within country including website, social media channels, Inside+, Viva Engage.

Is the primary point of contact with Group IS for coordinating website development. Ensures content is up-to-date and reflects well on ABB.

Identify and escalate potential ABB reputational risks on digital channels to appropriate stakeholders

Supports the cascade of employee communications from ABB group  and develops local employee communications to support fiduciary requirements

Ensure a balanced external profile of ABB locally

Works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across business areas and divisions and in support of the Country Communications Leader.

Facilitates collaboration with divisions, business areas, and ABB Group communications teams.

Monitor the country’s social media account communities to offer constructive interaction with users and resolve customer issues through social media in collaboration with relevant Division subject matter experts.

Track progress using web and social analytic tools to inform stakeholders on metric performance.

Qualifications for the role

Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in corporate communications, digital content management, or internal communications

Strong understanding of digital platforms and tools (e.g., content management systems, social media platforms, internal communication tools like Viva Engage or SharePoint)

Experience managing corporate social media accounts and websites, including content creation, publishing, and performance tracking

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both Czech and English

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across business areas and functions

Analytical mindset with experience using web and social media analytics tools to measure communication effectiveness

Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
