Your role and responsibilities

Communications is a crucial function to our success. As Country Communication Manager for the Cech Republic, you are responsible for leading Tier 1 and financial media as well as crisis communications and issues management. You are responsible for protecting the ABB brand and for ensuring a balanced profile of ABB and its businesses in the Czech Republic. You will own the country based digital platforms and be responsible for cascading ABB-wide internal communications in the country. You will collaborate with other communicators in the region in line with the ABB Way.The work model for the role is: hybrid.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDeveloping and implementing a comprehensive communication plan that supports ABB’s business strategy and enhances brand visibility through various media channels.•\tManaging media relations and crisis communications to effectively address inquiries and navigate challenging situations, protecting ABB's reputation in the market.•\tLeading internal communications efforts to ensure alignment with corporate objectives, fostering employee engagement, and managing compliance with GDPR and governance standards.•\tSafeguarding ABB's brand identity by ensuring all communications adhere to corporate design standards and managing the communications budget for transparency and effectiveness.

Qualifications for the role

\tUndergraduate degree, or higher, in Communications, PR or other relevant discipline\t10 years experience in Communication or Public Relations in a highly matrixed organization\tFluency in Czech (written and spoken) and strong writing/editing skills\tAbility to communicate effectively in English.\tIn-depth demonstrable knowledge and experience of all aspects of internal and external communications\tExtensive network within the press/media and ability to lead crisis communications autonomously •\tStrong business partnership, collaboration and communication skills, with deep experience of managing internal and external relationships seamlessly
