Job Description:

Job Summary:

As a Counselor, you will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and facilitating group and individual counseling sessions. You will work closely with clients to address their unique needs and support their progress towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the intake, screening, and assessment process within designated time frames.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment information and state guidelines.

• Participate in clinical staffing and treatment team meetings, providing valuable feedback on cases.

• Document all services provided in accordance with regulatory standards and ensure timely entry of information.

• Assist clients through the transition process, completing necessary correspondence.

• Facilitate group counseling, education sessions, and individual meetings focused on recovery.

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, referral sources, and coworkers, adhering to ethical standards. • Handle crisis situations effectively as they arise. • Represent the agency professionally within the community.

• Complete required training and maintain knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree (non-licensed) in a human services field, and/or certified/credentialed to provide services within scope of practice.

• Hold credentials as a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB) or as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.

• Willingness to become credentialed in additional states and provide telehealth services.

Additional Qualifications:

• Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record and driving record.

• Current driver’s license in state of residency, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.

• First Aid and CPR certification within three months of employment.

• Completion of required training within specified time frames.

Physical Requirements:

• ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
