Counselor (11a-7p Tuesday-Saturday) Eden, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=9136+Sandrock+Road+Eden+NY+USA+14057) Apply Description Responsibilities + Develops individualized treatment and discharge plans for residents + Makes referrals, coordinates services, and maintains regular and on-going consultations with other organizations + Coordinates the vocational and educational goals of residents + Facilities group and individual counseling sessions + Supports and encourages resident participation in community self-help groups + Assists in the oversight of program medication procedures + Conducts breathalyzer and toxicology screenings + Facilitates new resident assessments, admissions, and orientations + Availabe for on-call coverage when needed + Completes documentation per agency requirements + Data input and word processing + Low Caseload! Requirements + Masters Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of 6 months counseling experience. Field placement as an intern may be applied to the required counseling experience. Must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status. Or + Bachelors Degree in Human Services or a related field and a minimum of one year counseling experience. Field placement as an intern may be applied to required counseling experience. Must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status. Or + Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field; must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status and two years counseling experience in the appropriate field.
