We’re hiring a Counsel for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The Counsel will be responsible for broad range of tasks, including conducting legal research and analysis, drafting and revising legal documents, preparing various legal communications, and providing timely advice to internal stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide variety of topics. Draft, review, and revise legal documents including contracts, policies, and internal forms. Prepare clear, well-organized legal memoranda, summaries, charts, and reports. Provide timely legal advice to internal stakeholders across multiple departments. Manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Support efforts to develop and refine forms, templates, workflows, and procedures that enhance departmental efficiency and reduce costs. Handle responses to subpoenas, legal pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents. Identify potential legal and operational risks and propose practical, business-focused solutions.
