Find your future with us. **Key Accountabilities:** + Provide expert written and oral advice on a broad range of contract, employment, industrial relations and work health and safety laws (e.g. discrimination, general employment, bargaining, restructuring and redundancy programs, workplace investigations, litigation, employment and labor-related contracts) to support organisational goals of the Boeing entities and leaders in the region; + Represent Boeing in negotiations, transactions and proceedings as required including but not limited to Fair Work Commission advocacy, government agencies and suppliers; + Provide legal support for a variety of contractual agreements with suppliers and customers including advice on legal risk and exposure, negotiation and drafting; + Develop targeted and strategic legal solutions for business matters of high complexity; + Drive efficiencies and prevent future legal problems through training, consultation, leadership and counsel; + Collaborate and build constructive working relationships with legal colleagues and business and functional leaders across multiple geographically dispersed locations to assist in identifying and developing a full life cycle of legal solutions from early implementation to final delivery; + Resolve multifaceted disputes through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, or litigation; investigate facts, analyse the law, perform risk analysis, and develop recommendations and work with Boeing entities to implement them on complex legal matters; + Retain external counselwhere required, manage litigation and disputes and track and manages external performance and costs; + Represent and advise Boeing in respect of any internal or external audits and compliance matters with external regulatory agencies; + Direct and/or conduct complex internal investigations and draft investigation reports to determine compliance with legal and/or Boeing requirements; + Draft workplace policies; + Monitor legislative, regulatory, common law and industrial changes and assess impact on Boeing entities/strategies and workforces; + Supervise and mentor legal support staff such as paralegals and analysts. **Competencies:** **Prioritisation** Provides expert business counsel and manages a high-volume work environment and ability to balance competing legal and business priorities across multiple global time zones **Risk Management and Mitigation** Applied knowledge of risk management and mitigation principles and tools and the ability to apply them in various situations to determine necessary and cost-effective protection. Takes proactive and ‘outside the box’ approach to identifying potential and emerging legal risk areas. **Analytical Skills** Ability to: collect, organise, synthesise, and analyse data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. **Collaboration** Works effectively and cooperatively with others; establishes and maintains strong working relationships internally across functions and businesses and externally to Boeing. **Communication** Communicates effectively and has ability to clearly convey advice, information and ideas to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the particular audience. **Integrity** Pursues the highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour and promotes and acts with integrity in their everyday work. Creates and champions Boeing’s speak-up culture. **Business Focus** Makes business priorities their own and acts with integrity, gives a damn every day about business priorities, is attune to stakeholder objectives and provides pragmatic options that factors in legal risk and operational and commercial considerations. **Work Standards** Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposes standards of excellence. **Key Requirements:** + Admitted as a legal practitioner in an Australian jurisdiction with a Bachelor of Laws and practicing certificate; + At least 7 + years’ post qualification experience (PQE); + Superior current knowledge and expertise in employment, safety and regulatory matters and excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills; + Experience negotiating and advising on commercial contracts and a general understanding of intellectual property matters preferred, but not required; + Business focused, flexible, pragmatic and ability to work autonomously and seek guidance and support where required; + Experience working across global time zones and in a corporate group environment preferred but not required.
