Royal Caribbean Group’s Legal Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Counsel, Contracts.

 

Position Summary:

Royal Caribbean is seeking an experienced, highly motivated legal counsel to join its legal team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for administering a variety of contracts.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Negotiate, draft and administer commercial contracts for various business units, in accordance with previously defined criteria (i.e., commercial contract playbook) Administer contract management procedures and controls to ensure use of appropriate forms and adherence to established corporate contracts policies Prepare amendments to contracts and manage renewal and amendment process Coordinate approvals, tracking and execution of agreements through the Company’s contract lifecycle management platform Serve as a liaison between the Legal Department and the company's various business units

 

Qualifications:

Law degree, with an active license to practice law in the local jurisdiction Three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience negotiating commercial agreements Prior experience with a law firm and/or in an in-house legal environment of multinational corporation is a plus

 

Knowledge and Skills:

Technologically proficient with software applications such as SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite  Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task  Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated high proficiency in English, including correct spelling, grammar, tone, and syntax. Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a high volume of assignments Sound judgment Demonstrated experience handling sensitive, confidential material Excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to client service, and the ability to build relationships across the Company. Experience in working with big legal firms and international legal exposure
