**Join Our Pediatric Rehab Team as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Dayshift** **Location:** 625 West Edwin Street, Williamsport, PA **Schedule:** Full-Time, Dayshift **Travel:** Occasional travel to local schools or Early Intervention sites Are you passionate about helping children thrive? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate **COTA** to join our Pediatric Rehab Clinic team. This role offers a dynamic mix of settings, including outpatient care, school-based therapy, and Early Intervention services. **What You’ll Do:** As a vital part of our therapy team, you’ll work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality care that makes a real difference in the lives of children and families. Your responsibilities will include: + Delivering therapeutic interventions based on individualized treatment plans + Supporting children across pediatric, adolescent, and occasionally adult populations + Documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes with accuracy and timeliness + Collaborating with therapists and educators in school and Early Intervention settings + Participating in team meetings, in-service training, and departmental initiatives + Administering standardized assessments and reporting results + Ensuring compliance with state Occupational Therapy Practice Acts **What We’re Looking For:** + **Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)** with active state licensure + Experience or interest in pediatric therapy preferred + Strong communication and documentation skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team + Flexibility to travel locally as needed **Why Join Us?** + Supportive and experienced therapy team + Opportunities for professional growth and development + Meaningful work that impacts children and families + Competitive compensation and benefits **✅ Qualifications:** + Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program approved by the **American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)** with an **Associate’s Degree** in Occupational Therapy Assistance. + Demonstrated knowledge of: + Quality customer service principles + Normal human growth and development across the lifespan + Medical record documentation and interpretation + Strong skills in: + Planning and organization + Problem-solving and strategic thinking + Follow-up and control + Stress tolerance and self-development + Organizational behavior and competencies + Ability to: + Apply logic and strategic thinking to diverse challenges + Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing + Identify referral growth opportunities + Collaborate with healthcare teams, coworkers, supervisors, and leadership + Preferred: Active participation in professional healthcare organizations + Must complete: + All mandatory system, business unit, and facility competencies + CRS Orientation, Facility-specific Orientation, and Department-specific Orientation(s) + May work in areas where medications are stored; **no direct contact with medications is permitted** **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Licensed or eligible for licensure in the practicing state + **National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)** certification + **CPR certification** required within 30 days of hire, based on **AHA standards** (must include both didactic and skills demonstration components) + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) + Occupational Therapy Assistant **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
