The Costume Planner supports Operational Costume inventory planning and replenishment for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Inventory Planning weaves science, data, and magic to choreograph the optimal supply of the Costumes that create and enrich the experience of our guests and Cast around the world. Using data and analytics combined with a little pixie dust, we strive to have the right Costumes, at the right place, in the right quantity, at the right time. From our Cast Members on Main Street USA to visitors from a Galaxy Far, Far Away, our goal is to achieve the best possible service level, balancing the inventory needs of our sites with the financial goals of the Costuming business.
This position reports to the Area Manager – Costume Planning
This is a full-time role.
What You Will DoApply automated systems and off-line tools to maintain and implement forecasting process for costumes
Use historical data, current business activities, and inputs from partners to determine optimal inventory levels in the warehouse as well as Costume Issue locations
Partner and provide timely communication to Operational Costuming leaders and sites regarding inventory status
Assist in developing analytical tools and evaluate business processes to support complex decision making
Provide ongoing data verification, as well as conduct complex data analysis using statistical techniques, conceptual thinking skills, and creative problem-solving skills
Anticipate “next” question and provide information proactively
Required Qualifications1+ years experience with inventory tracking, modeling, and analysis
1+ years experience in leading a business process
Experience with logistics, supply chain management, and operations
Experience using Excel, Word, SAP Warehouse Module, and/or other analytical tools
Experience in financial and analytical functions with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and ensuring data accuracy
Experience working independently as well as working in a team environment where collaboration is key
Experience managing workflow and project budgets
Experience monitoring and translating analytical results into clear narratives & recommendations for a variety of audiences and business needs
Experience with understanding the tone & tempo of interactions and interpreting information to resolve issues or questions quickly and clearly
Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including extended hours and holidays
Ability to work around all types of fabrics, fibers, and synthetic furs
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Costuming
Experience with statistical analysis software and analysis of large data sets (Dataiku).
EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent is required
Advanced degree in Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or equivalent is preferred
