Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Cost Value Engineer to join our team and play a key role in cost analysis, process optimization, and value engineering. In this position, you will work closely with Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Production teams to analyze cost structures, identify savings opportunities, and support strategic sourcing decisions.The work model for the role is: hybridYou will be mainly accountable for:• Analyze cost breakdowns and conduct should-cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities. Map production processes to assess cost drivers and efficiency improvements.• Develop and implement cost optimization strategies following the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach.• Support strategic sourcing through benchmarking, cost modeling, and market analysis.• Ensure accurate cost data management and reporting within SAP and other business systems.• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support new product development with cost-efficient solutions.• Participate in supplier negotiations, providing cost analysis and spend forecasts.• Maintain supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality sourcing.• Create and enhance reports, KPIs, and cost control tools to support decision-making. Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on market trends and production insights.

Qualifications for the role

Minimum 3 years of experience in Strategic Supply Chain Management within an international environment. Technical University degree (preferred but not mandatory).Experience in cost analysis, value engineering, and cost optimization in a manufacturing setting. Proven negotiation experience with suppliers. Knowledge of manufacturing processes.Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking and data-driven decision making skills.Hands-on experience in RFQ processes – from initiation to offer evaluation based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).Expertise in supply chain optimization and cost reduction initiatives.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, VBA); Power BI and Power Automate knowledge is a plus. aPriori or other cost management software experience is a great asset.Fluent English (written and spoken).Teamwork-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders. Proactive, result-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.Willingness to travel for business purposes.
