Job Title: Cost Manager
Location: Hybrid (3/2 schedule) – New York, NY
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cost Manager to support project delivery through accurate cost tracking, reporting, and analysis. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Project Manager and technical teams to manage change orders, review invoices, and ensure compliance with client processes. You’ll also contribute to procurement oversight, value engineering analysis, and project close-out.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and distribute monthly cost and cash flow reports to senior technical staff.Review and validate project invoices for completeness and proper coding; forward to client’s AP team as needed.Collaborate with the Executive Project Manager to review change orders per client approval protocols.Report on contractor buyouts of subcontract bid packages.Participate in weekly cost meetings to discuss procurement and change order status.Provide cost insights for value engineering analysis with minimal supervision.Oversee contractor close-out administration to ensure contractual compliance.Perform additional duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics/D365 and Primavera or Microsoft Project.Strong IT skills and analytical problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in sports, recreation, or hospitality projects.Familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite.Understanding of electrical systems and cost accounting.What We OfferCompetitive salary and flexible work schedules.Generous PTO, two floating holidays, and paid parental leave.Group insurance and a retirement savings plan with employer match.Inclusive culture with Employee Resource Groups and a Foundation supporting STEM education for underrepresented communities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $82.00/hr.
