**About the position:**
The Cost Engineer - Systems and Tools Implementation is part of the Engineering Services team within the Chevron ENGINE Center and is responsible for guiding new users to load capital projects and portfolio project cost data to Chevron databases which include either Ecosys or iPIMS. Data tracked includes work breakdown structure (WBS), the standard cost coding structure, estimates, time-phasing, and historical actuals, resolving implementation issues and challenges, and providing post implementation support. The Cost Engineer should understand end-to-end functionality of the cost management modules and how cost engineering functions translate into system processes.
This position offers a valuable opportunity to make a significant contribution to the capital projects cost management digital tool implementation initiative within Chevron.
**Key responsibilities:**
- Develop continuous integration, deployment, and test strategy.
- Understand cost engineering principles and the project life cycle.
- Coordinate effectively with stakeholders, internal team members, and third-party vendors.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the usage of iPIMS Cost Management and Ecosys.
-Facilitate seamless integration and knowledge transfer throughout the deployment process.
- Identify and resolve issues and challenges that arise during the implementation process to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment of the cost management tools.
-Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
**Required Qualifications:**
- Broad knowledge of the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and react to needs, problems, process improvement opportunities, or changes.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
-10+ years of cost engineering, project controls, and/or cost management experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including execution of large upstream and downstream projects.
- Experience implementing and using iPIMS Cost Management module and/or Ecosys Cost Management.
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or Similar disciplines.
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
