**About the position:**
The Cost Engineer - Business Planning Coordinator is part of the Engineering Services team in the Chevron ENGINE Center and is responsible for coordinating and consolidating all Major Capital Project (MCP) cost and schedule inputs for Business Planning and reporting purposes. This position works closely with Cost Engineer and Project Services (CEPS) Managers, Project Excellence, and the Business Planning function to ensure accurate and timely capture of data for the Business Planning cycle, periodic reporting and other ad hoc requests.
**Key responsibilities:**
- Collect, interpret, and consolidate project cost and schedule data for business planning purposes for multiple projects.
- Develop templates and tools for data collection and reporting.
- Analyze and explain variances in business plan yearly submittals, as well as monthly outlooks;
- Communicate with project execution teams to understand and report deviations.
- Support Cost Engineering activities as required, including cost control, management of change (MOC), progress measurement, value of work done, cashflows, forecasting, and project reporting.
**Required Qualifications:**
- - Broad knowledge of the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry.
- Experience working with capital project teams on business planning activities including data collection, consolidation and analysis.
-Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and react to needs, problems, process improvement opportunities, or change needs in the area of business planning.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- 10+ years of project controls and/or business planning experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience with execution of large upstream and downstream projects.
-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
