Kent is looking for a Cost Analyst to support our client and be based in Channelview, TX.
Basic Job RequirementsUpdate headcount for each organizationUpdate each step in the process once complete (ie Overrides, import, # headcount acceptance, final complete, additional comments). Make note in additional comments for unallocated time, unaccepted time, SAP ID's, etc. needed.Build, edit and assign schedule to OrganizationReport on a daily/weekly basis and work with various personnel to resolve rejections.Review for timesheets pending, previous weeks' timesheets should be approved no later than Wednesday of the current week. If approvals have not been completed, contact POC about pending approvals. There should be no outstanding time older than a week at any given time. If the POC is not in agreement with the timesheet they should reject the timesheet with commentary. Review Authorization Central for blocked POs due to insufficient funds. Blocked PO amounts may need to be updated to reflect overall limit. If overall limit is insufficient to cover pending cost, contact POC to discuss path forward (i.e. PO increase, reallocation, etc.). Purchase Order overall limit update - SAP will allow timesheet posting up to the PO overall limit, update PO overall limit in cost object value.Review Track Process Health Summary report for each vendor on a weekly/monthly basis and work with various personnel to resolve rejections. Allocations - Ensure 100% completed for each day, if not resolve with Timekeepers.Acceptance - Ensure 100% completed for each day, if not resolve with Timekeepers.Authorizations - Ensure 100% completed for each day, if not resolve with POC's.View and checks reports regularly to ensure all hours and other costs are posted.Work with Organization representatives and internal personnel to resolve all issues.In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
Minimum of 5 years of Cost Analyst/Controls experience, preferably in relation to petrochemical or refining industry projects. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively evaluate project financial health and provides recommendations for success.Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the aptitude to work cross functionally.Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities within strict timelines.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong Knowledge of standardized cost guidelines (Engineering & Construction) and capital and expense policy and procedure. Strong computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Office Products, Ariba, and/or Concur.Comprehensive knowledge regarding project control concepts including estimating, risk management, and scheduling.HSSEQ:
