The Controlling function plays a critical role in HARMAN's business operations by enabling the business to achieve competitive performance and make tactical contributions to the organization's strategic goals and objectives. They also provide value-added decision-making support and assist with target stetting to ensure the business is run efficiently, objectively and at peak performance.
Finance strives to provide consistent financial reporting, risk management and compliance, forecasting, and controls enabling management to drive continuous performance improvement in company's results.
What Makes up HARMAN Finance
The Finance department at HARMAN is made up of six functional areas.
The role of the FP&A and Controlling teams is to prepare budgets, forecasts and targets. They track actual performance and key metrics and drive saving on direct and indirect material purchases. They also manage plant financials to ensure operational profitability.

What You Will Do
Cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis Month-end closing, financial reporting analysisCosting variance analysis; raw material, direct labour, indirect labour, fixed overheard and price varianceSupport rolling forecast, monthly forecast, and budgetMaintain and review BOM, routing and standard cost of productsMonitor and control inventory i.e. inventory level, obsolescence, and slow movingDevelop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production costsConduct regular audits and reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and ensure it aligns with production and procurement records and reflects accurately in reporting.Create and Control CAPEX, update project report, variance analysisPartner closely with other departments to ensure cost control functions are executed in accordance with company standards and policiesBuild a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork and mutual respectEnsure compliance with accounting standards and regulationsSupport with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.Other duties as assigned by direct superiorWhat You Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field5 years of experience with standard costing, SAP and other financial analysis applications.Proficient in accounting software-ERP, or SAP and Microsoft officeExcellent analytical and conceptual thinkingAbility to prioritize, manage time independently, set objectives and milestones.Bonus Points if You Have
