Airswift is looking for a Cost Control Engineer to work with one of our major clients in Lake Charles, LA 

The Maintenance Cost Controls Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of Maintenance and Reliability work processes. This position achieves this by meticulously tracking maintenance costs, monitoring performance indicators, and identifying opportunities for value creation. This role collaborates closely with Finance, operations, and maintenance engineering teams to efficiently deliver expense projects and maintenance activities. This role focuses on cost-effective execution, ensuring that cost allocation aligns with established business rules.

Primary Responsibilities Collaborate in establishing and managing maintenance cost control systems for accurate cost information. Develop effective maintenance cost reports from SAP or other tools. Also, ensure a reliable APM cost related interphase with SAP and cost metrics. Update the maintenance spending forecast for maintenance and reliability-related expenses. Actively participate and support the month-end closure processes and monthly budget meetings. Identify monthly cost accruals for maintenance-related expenditures with the maintenance and operations teams. Support the Maintenance and Reliability budget-setting process, aligning the budget with requirements. Maintain monthly key performance indicators for Maintenance and Reliability, contributing to effective decision-making. Ensure cost allocation accuracy in the maintenance planning and scheduling process, adhering to business rules. Participate in daily Maintenance Scheduling meetings, seeking process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in refining, manufacturing, or the petrochemical industry  Proficiency in MS Office suite, with an emphasis on pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas, charts, and linking capabilities. In-depth knowledge of the DocuSign platform and experience with advanced features. A basic understanding of Project Controls and working knowledge of SAP Project Systems module, Maintenance module and Purchasing processes such as Requisition creation and PO management. Experience with cost portfolio management of projects is desirable. Ability to communicate and interact within a project team environment. Organizational skills required to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
