Cost Control Engineer

We are assisting a client in Saudi Arabia currently looking for Cost Control Engineer with shipbuilding/ship maintenance experience.
Job Objective:
Ensure that all project Cost Control related activities are carried out in accordance with Company policies and Procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities: Develop systems and procedures for Cost Control Function (including interface with ERP team during establishment / troubleshooting phase) and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from Suppliers, Vendors and Subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded. Understand cost estimates including material, manpower, Asset Management & Marine Operation. Coordinate with the Business Development team whenever discrepancies are noticed. Upload all relevant project cost and expenses data in the designated project management software with clear schedules of when the expenses are likely to be incurred. Create a process of information flow with respect to each expense head (such as material, manpower, AMMO, PMT etc.). Monitor cost performance and generate variance / exception reports as and when required. Present the same to Project manager and obtain approval to distribute further as per distribution matrix. Be responsible for assessing potential Change Management (Internal / Customer / Supplier). Coordinate with the project stake holders on the same.
Qualifications: Engineering Degree PMP Certificate Earned Value Management exposure - required Minimum 9-12 years of experience preferable in the Shipbuilding/Ship Maintenance industry
