Overview:
We are looking for a results-oriented Cost Analyst to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in optimizing financial performance through strategic cost management, operational analysis, and collaborative budgeting efforts. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cost accounting and a passion for driving continuous improvement across production environments.
Key Responsibilities:Lead Financial Planning Cycles:Coordinate and manage the annual budgeting process in partnership with cross-functional departments.Financial Oversight:Supervise core financial activities including budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring.Cost Optimization:Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across procurement, labor, scrap reduction, and technical operations.Reporting & Analysis:Prepare and deliver both scheduled and ad-hoc reports related to payroll, operational expenses, and financial performance.Strategic Financial Insights:Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making for operational leadership.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to execute continuous improvement initiatives.Performance Monitoring:Provide accurate forecasting and performance metrics to leadership for strategic planning.Compliance & Controls:Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and maintain robust internal financial controls.Data Management:Leverage ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet tools to manage and present financial data effectively.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environmentProficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred; Oracle, JD Edwards also considered)Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulasCPA or CMA certification strongly preferredExperience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or TableauCore Competencies:Cost Accounting & AnalysisFinancial Forecasting & ReportingBudget ManagementERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)Data Visualization (Power BI, Tableau)GAAP ComplianceStrategic Thinking & Problem Solving
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
