Position Overview:
Responsible for cost performance measurements of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, strategy review, long range planning, reporting and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, analyze, and/or distribute weekly and monthly manufacturing variance and inventory reports and work with operations team to reduce variances and improve efficiencies.Assist in various month-end closing activities. Prepare journal entries and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.Multi-site data gathering for cost reporting and analytics.Inventory reporting across multiple locations.Maintain and analyze standard costs and assist in preparation of annual standard cost update activities.Review and process Engineering Change Orders and evaluate cost changes and impacts.Prepare, review, and reconcile inventory balance sheet accounts and reports monthly. Investigate and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items.Support and audit annual Physical Inventory and cycle count process and results.Support forecast and budget preparation and analysis.Support special ad-hoc reporting, projects and analysis as required.Ensure SOX compliance and assist with preparation of internal and external audit requests.Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and at least three years related experience and/or training.Abilities:
Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management and group sizes.The ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex financial reports, statements, and/or projections, and a high proficiency in financial modeling (P/L, cash flows, and balance sheet).Knowledge of a cost accounting environment, candidate doesn’t need to have an extensive background in cost accounting only to be familiar with communicating with cost accountantsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills including MS Office Suite, ERP (Oracle, preferred), planning and management reporting tools (Hyperion Planning, preferred)Operating Company:
