The ideal candidate is detail-oreiented, analytical, and brings strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with SAP ERP and manufacturing systems, and leadership capabilities to support day-to-day operations and mentor junior staff. This position collaborates closely with the warehousing, supply chain, and accounts payable teams to ensure accurate and compliant inventory reporting. Additionally, the role supports production cost analysis, equipment utilization analysis, inventory cycle counts, and monthly financial close, ensuring accurate financial postings. **Essential Duties:** + Manages and oversees the daily operations of inventory accounting, including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and spare parts inventory. + Coordinates COGS reviews, cycle counts, and inventory management initiatives. + Collaborates with the Cost Accounting Supervisor to support month-end close processes, including inventory valuation adjustments, PPV analysis, and related journal entries postings. + Maintains and monitors inventory sub-ledgers, and ensures timely GL reconciliations. + Analyzes and explains variances between standard and actual costs, primarily focusing on Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and impacts related to FOB shipments. + Partners with Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to ensure proper recording and control of inventory movements through SAP, MES, and Asset Management systems. + Assists in the development, review, and maintenance of standard costs, BOM validations, and routing accuracy in SAP. + Supports internal and external audit requirements related to inventory and cost accounting. + Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives around inventory controls, cost transparency, and process automation. + Upholds internal controls in compliance with company policy, JSOX and GAAP. + Manages monthly reconciliations of vendor statements vs. PECNA raw material payables. **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:** + To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. _The foregoing description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills and efforts or work conditions associated with the job.
