Description
We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant/Analyst to join our client's manufacturing team in the Lansdale, Pennsylvania area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical skills and accounting expertise in a fast-paced production environment. As a key contributor, you will provide valuable financial insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and oversee cost accounting processes, including labor, material, and overhead allocations, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform detailed variance and margin analyses to identify trends and areas for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to refine pricing strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Build comprehensive financial forecasts and support strategic planning initiatives.
• Maintain a hands-on approach by engaging with the manufacturing floor to align operational realities with financial data.
• Provide product-level profitability insights to guide decision-making and enhance business strategies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices while continuously improving reporting processes.
• Act as a liaison between operations and accounting to foster collaboration and informed decision-making.
• Streamline and improve financial models for better forecasting and analysis.
• Support audits and ensure accuracy in cost-related financial documentation.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools for data analysis and modeling.
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with standard cost accounting practices and methodologies.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of food production processes is a plus.
